Dating back to 311 (BE 854), Wat Phra Mahathat Woromaha Vihan is a old Buddhist temple located in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Southern Thailand.

This temple has a 78 m high chedi, surrounded by 173 smaller chedis. The temple hosts the Sacred Relic of the tooth of Buddha.

Tourist and pilgrims can visit the Viharn Luang or ubosot building, the Viharn Kien and its museum and the Viharn Phra Song Ma, a building containing a staircase.

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is the symbol of Nakhon Si Thammarat province and has been nominated as a World Heritage site, pending approval by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
