Wat Khao Khitchakut (วัด เขาคิชฌกูฏ) is a very unusual temple located within Khao Khitchakut National Park boundaries in Chanthaburi Province.

This temple sits on the Khao Phra Bat mountaintop, the site of a Buddha footprint. Wat Khao Khitchakut only open 2 months a year, during the time around the Magha Puja holiday usually in February or March, when a large number of devotees make their pilgrimage to this temple.

Khao Khitchakut National Park is also home to beautiful waterfalls and forests.

  2. Hello Wah,

I guess it’s open to public during February and March, near the celebration of the Māgha Pūjā Buddhist festival. Anyway you can contact TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand). They know the exact period better than me 🙂
